About this product

Foam Board Signs

Foam board is the sign you reach for when something needs to be rigid, sharp and effectively weightless. A 4mm foam core is sandwiched between two printed surfaces, giving a panel that stands unsupported on an easel, holds a knife-sharp edge, stays perfectly flat, and can be carried in one hand while you hold a coffee in the other. For indoor signage that has to be set up and struck by one person, nothing else is as practical.

The print quality is the other half of the appeal. Because the surface is smooth and matte rather than woven or corrugated, fine type, logos and photography reproduce properly — this is the material to choose when the sign has to look designed rather than merely readable. Menus, price lists and product callouts all survive being read from two feet away as well as ten.

Sizes run from a 12×18 tabletop card up to a 48×48 statement panel, printed on one side or both. Two-sided printing comes in two flavours worth understanding: the same image on both faces for a hanging or freestanding sign seen from either direction, or different images on each face when a sign does two jobs — a price list for the queue and a welcome for the door.

Same-day and next-day production are available on this product, which makes it the emergency sign as well as the planned one. The one honest caveat: foam board is an indoor and covered-outdoor material. It will not survive a rainy market day unprotected — for exposed outdoor use, coroplast or vinyl is the right call, and we will tell you so if your order looks like it is heading outside.

Ways to use them

What people actually print these for

01

Menu and price boards

On an easel beside the queue. Rigid, legible, and light enough to move as the light changes or the line grows.

02

Product and bestseller callouts

Small 12×18 panels propped between products, naming what a thing is and what it costs. Fewer questions, more sales.

03

Event welcome and wayfinding

Registration, this way, room names. Cheap enough to print per event, sharp enough to look like the venue paid for it.

04

Photo backdrops and step-and-repeat

A 48×48 panel behind a product table gives every phone photo taken at your booth your name in the frame.

05

Open house and viewings

Estate agents and venues: a rigid board on an easel at the door, printed with the details, replaces a flapping laminated sheet.

06

Product spec boards

At a trade show, one board per product line with the specifications buyers keep asking for. It answers questions while you are talking to someone else.

If it's not right, it's free.
