About this product

32pt Painted Edge Business Cards

32pt is not a thicker business card so much as a different object. Two layers of heavy uncoated board are bonded into a single slab roughly twice the thickness of a normal card, then the exposed edge is painted in colour. It does not bend when you hold it out, it lands on a table with an audible sound, and it is almost impossible to hand over without the other person commenting on it. That reaction is the entire product.

The painted edge is a genuine second pass through production: the trimmed stack is sealed and the exposed edge is coated by hand in your chosen colour, then cured. Choose from red, black, light blue, yellow, gold or silver — or white, which means no paint at all and leaves the natural board edge showing. Metallic gold and silver behave like foil, catching light along the edge as the card moves. Those six colours plus natural are the complete palette; anything else would be a promise we cannot keep.

Design-wise, restraint wins. The uncoated face takes ink with a soft, letterpress-like bite, and the format flatters a lot of white space: a name, one line, nothing else. The edge is doing the shouting, so the face does not have to. Full colour is available on one or both sides, in runs of 250, 500 or 1,000.

Production runs 5–7 business days because the edge painting and curing cannot be rushed — which is, honestly, part of why the card reads as considered rather than ordered-online at midnight. Every order is human-proofed against the thick-stock specification first, and the reprint promise covers the result exactly as it does everything else.

Ways to use them

What people actually print these for

01

The investor and press card

When your product is digital, the card is the only physical artefact in the room. 32pt with a black edge does more for a first impression than another slide ever will.

02

Founder cards for a small team

Order one run, split it across the three people who actually meet clients. The per-card cost falls and everyone carries the same statement piece.

03

Trade show table drop

Fan a few on the table instead of stacking them. People pick them up out of curiosity about the edge, which is the conversation you wanted anyway.

04

Gift and VIP inserts

Slip one into a high-value order as a hand-signed note card. It costs a fraction of the packaging and is the thing the customer photographs.

05

The one-card portfolio

For photographers, designers and makers: name on the front, a QR to the work on the back. The card is heavy enough that people keep it long enough to scan it.

06

Place cards for a launch dinner

Guest names on 32pt with a painted edge in your brand colour. Everyone at the table pockets theirs, which is the entire point.
